Removing Urine Odor from Wooden Floors with UF2000:
Urine stains on wooden floors are difficult to remove, especially if the wood has darkened due to repeated urination. The dark spots indicate an accumulation of dried urine salts (urine crystals) and damage to the wood caused by acidic urine.
Treatment Process:
Preparation: First, remove the urine stain with UF2000. Treat the stain multiple times to eliminate the odor and urine salts.
Step 1: Spray UF2000 on the urine stains and let it work without scrubbing. This prepares the wood for further treatment.
Step 2: Apply UF2000 to the entire floor, cover it with plastic to prevent evaporation, and dry it after 30 minutes. Repeat until the odor is gone.
Step 3: Allow the floor to dry, wipe it with water, and dry again. After treatment, the floor is often clean enough to consider sanding and finishing with varnish or wax, although this is usually not necessary.
