General Instructions UF2000
For a specific application, see further on this sheet: Ensure that UF2000 always comes into good contact with residual urine by letting it soak in well and applying enough. Spray directly on the urine spot and let UF2000 work for a while. Do not scrub or rub in.
The urine stain must remain in full and long contact with UF2000 to effectively neutralize the urine odor. Then allow the treated area to dry naturally.
Removing urine odor from stone or concrete
Untreated stone or concrete may seem hard, but it has small openings that easily absorb urine. This makes odor removal difficult. Follow the steps below for best results:
- Do not use other (chemical) cleaners or masking agents.
- Ensure that the floor is completely dry and clean.
- Spray UF2000 generously on the urine spot using a plant sprayer or low-pressure sprayer.
- Cover the area with plastic for 1 to 2 hours to prevent evaporation and improve absorption.
- Repeat the treatment if necessary until the odor is completely gone.
- Remove the residue afterwards with a little water and pat dry.
Removing urine odor from wooden floors
Urine stains on wooden floors are difficult to remove, especially if the wood has darkened due to repeated exposure to urine. UF2000 can remove the odor and dissolve dried urine salts, but any damage to the wood remains.
Follow these steps:
- Treat the urine stain multiple times with UF2000 for best results.
- Temporarily cover the floor with plastic to prevent too rapid evaporation.
- Repeat the treatment if necessary until the odor is gone.
- Clean the floor with water after the last treatment and dry it well.
Removing urine odor from carpet or fabric furniture
IMPORTANT! Always test UF2000 on an inconspicuous area first to check for colorfastness.
For new urine stains:
- Blot the urine spot as dry as possible with paper towels.
- Do not use other cleaners or shampoos before treatment.
- Spray UF2000 generously on the urine spot and let it dry normally.
- Clean with a little water and pat dry afterwards.
For old urine stains:
- Apply UF2000 generously and cover with plastic to extend the working time.
- Let it soak in for a few hours, remove the plastic, and blot the area dry.
- Repeat this process if necessary for several days until the odor is completely gone.
Detecting invisible urine stains
If the urine odor is present but the exact location cannot be found, use the Ecodor EcoLight urine stain detector. Urine salts will light up under this light, making the stains easy to treat.
