Miscellaneous/general – References

Here is a list of some of our references of industrial odour control in the miscellaneous/general category.

Odour reduction in metal foundry

Near the moulding and semi-automatic machines, the places where moulds are knocked off sand, metaline and phenol odours are released. As this plant is located in a residential area, there were many complaints from local residents.Near both vending machines, two identical Ecodor certified odour meters were installed, with an average of 97% odour neutralisation

Deodorising installation mobile unit – 20 FT

Near the storage and transfer of contaminated soil, emission of odour to the surrounding area takes place during the excavation of this soil. As the storage of this soil is not at one fixed location, a mobile 20′ deodorisation unit is used here.A sea container contains a water supply to deodorise for about 60 hours. Through the mist fans mounted on the roof of the container, which spray a product mixture Ecodor/water, the odour released is neutralised. The mobile unit is also equipped with a generator that provides power.

Odour control in tunnelling

During the construction of a railway tunnel, the released soil is removed to the outside via a conveyor belt. From the soil to be removed, high concentrations of ammonia are released (values of about 45 ppm).By installing two mist fans under the cover of this conveyor belt, which spray Ecodor EC250 product, the ammonia content is reduced to values of 10-15 ppm.

Urine odour removal in car park

In a car park located in a large seaside resort, there are many problems with ‘urinating in public’. To combat pungent urine odours in this car park, an Ecodor deodorisation system was installed. For several minutes per hour, Ecodor enzyme product UF2000 is atomised in 17 garage boxes.

Decontamination system mobile unit – 20 FT

Near the storage and transfer of contaminated soil, emission of odour to the surrounding area takes place during the excavation of this soil.As the storage of this soil is not at one fixed location, a mobile 20′ deodorisation unit is used. By means of two mist fans mounted on the roof of the container, which mist a product mixture Ecodor/water, the released odour is neutralised.

Remove odour nuisance from chicken manure processor

At a chicken manure processing plant, the process air first passes through a roof-mounted wet scrubber to reduce high concentrations of ammonia. The residual odours are neutralised by twelve compressed air-assisted atomisers mounted in the scrubber’s off-gas pipe.

Decontamination system mobile unit – 10 FT

Near the storage and transfer of contaminated soil, emission of odour to the surrounding area takes place during the excavation of this soil.As the storage of this soil is not at one fixed location, a mobile 10-ft deodorisation unit is used. By means of two mist fans mounted on the roof of the container, which spray a product mixture Ecodor EC250/water, the released odour is neutralised.

Composting facility

Air from a storage shed containing compost is extracted and emitted to the outside air via gas scrubbers and biobeds. After the biobeds, an Ecodor deodorisation system is installed as a downstream deodorisation technique, which is switched on/off when deemed necessary due to excessive odour emissions from the biofilters in combination with an unfavourable wind direction. One high-pressure misting system with 64 nozzles was chosen.
