When Ecodor Odorshield is misted over an odor source, it provides dual protection against odor nuisance. First, the spread of odor is prevented by the insulating film. Second, the odor molecules are absorbed and broken down by enzymes in the viscous liquid.
The enzymes in Ecodor Odorshield accelerate the breakdown of odor molecules through their catalytic action. Because there are many different enzymes active in Ecodor Odorshield, a wide range of different odors can be controlled.
After Ecodor Odorshield is applied once, it provides effective protection against odor nuisance for an extended period of time, due in part to its viscous nature.

Depending on the nature and size of the odor source, a number of methods can be chosen to apply Ecodor Odorshield. For applications at a (relatively) small odor source, a handy low-pressure nebulizer will suffice.
When a larger odor source needs to be treated, other misting systems can be used to apply Ecodor Odorshield.
